Tomas Nesnidal
My friends call me Tom. I grew up in communist Czechoslovakia, where my first computer was a Commodore 64 smuggled across the border. I have been in trading for over 25 years — first discretionary, then systematic, and for the last decade almost exclusively algorithmic.
Somewhere along the way I stopped jumping between approaches and specialised in one thing: breakouts. That decision changed everything. It produced 2,041 strategies, a hedge fund, and a life where the trading happens on a laptop — so far from 70 countries.
